Hi everyone and welcome back to our final community blog of the day. In this latest post, we wanted to put the spotlight on some of our players, who we are immensely grateful for. The truth is 505 Games couldn’t do what it does without our community, so let us take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to our amazing fan base for their support over the years. It honestly means the world to us!

To celebrate #15YearsOf505, we recently asked some of our biggest fans to tell us about their favourite 505 title from over the years. And you didn’t disappoint with your responses! Check them out below…

“For as long as I can remember I have been playing games from 505 Games, but none had such a tremendous impact as Control. Playing as the fierce Director of the Federal Bureau of Control as she dives headfirst into the weird and dangerous Oldest House in search of her lost brother, was one of the most memorable gaming experiences of my life. The game lets you literally bring the house down through the gameplay and makes your brain melt through its bold plot.”

“I would like to finish by saying that I have been playing video games for over 25 years now and while many games have made me cry with sadness, others with happiness, Control was the first game to make me cry of excitement during the Ashtray Maze section!” Rúben, @DotPone

“DEATH STRANDING is a wonderful adventure that becomes a very personal one. Every player finds different ways, deals differently with obstacles and gets help from other players. The game impresses with breath-taking details, especially with the animation work. Be it the facial animations, the different running styles or much more. The Decima Engine, which already showed its muscles in Horizon Zero Dawn, proves this again here.

On the PC, all the smallest details shine with the increased frames per second. Our main character runs, trips or jumps over various obstacles with a suppleness that looks simply breath-taking. DEATH STRANDING at 60 FPS and above is a whole new experience.” @GermanStrands

“Terraria has to be my favourite games in the 505 Games collection. From the get go you’re tasked with the job of farming materials and gathering resources to build up your own 2D kingdom! I have played Terraria for over 3000 hours on multiple devices and there’s always something new to do. Whether it’s challenging bosses in different ways, or approaching the game in a totally different way by using different loadouts. Terraria has evolved over the years and has only got better with each update.

A close second is Portal Knights! Like Terraria but a 3D world of adventures!” Luke Games, @LukeGames_

“I think for me, the stand-out product from 505 games has to be Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC). I was extremely fortunate to attend the Premiere Event back in 2018 at E3 and have spent countless hours since that day playing the title along its’ roadmap. Having seen the huge step forward not only from AC1, but from that event, I think it’s incredible the work that Kunos have put in and a large component of this has to come from 505 Games’ continued support which brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the space.

As a player, this title is continuing to push boundaries with simulated physics realism, jaw-dropping graphics, and incredibly realistic audio which tie together the perfect package. I also find myself uniquely grateful for this title as it has given me the opportunity to both; travel the world in ACC competitions, and build a full-time career out of it!” Josh Martin

“When asked what I love most about my favourite title from 505 Games. Looking through their amazing back catalogue of games, Control will always stand out as a firm favourite of mine. If you didn’t already know. When Control was talked about, it was instantly on my radar, as are most games if it involves 505 Games.

That reveal trailer literally blow me away, it was amazing! Enough tease and technical prowess to get anyone excited. I mean Remedy are wizards aren’t they!?

But when I played Control for the first time I was instantly hooked. This game looked and even more so now on PS5, insane! Just take a look through some of my Photo Mode shots if you don’t believe me.

But it also packed some incredible action gameplay alongside some of the most unusual & mysterious storytelling I’ve seen in a game. It truly unwinds the more you play, the more you delve deeper. It doesn’t end! I love it. Most people do that play it.
Just look at the amazing community it’s sparked.

Not only that, but it’s easy to see why they’ve won so many awards. I’d give them to the team without the game! Some of the nicest people I know, seriously! They deserve all the credit they get!

I can easily say Control is one of my most favourite games ever! And I’m so happy they’ve agreed to work alongside each other once more. I can only hope one day to be able to assist them myself. What a dream that would be.

“Not only did 505 Games publish Control which is my favorite, but they also brought No Man’s Sky to the Xbox which I am also grateful for, as my many friends play this game with me. What makes these two games so special, and why I love them so much, is that feeling of community. Not only the NMS community, but the Control community, have in many ways changed my life for the better! Control brought back my passion for photography, even if it’s digital. A new vision and a new strength and passion. Video games help you!

Why I got emotional (writing this) is because both games have actually kept me going (not just during the pandemic) but just during everything else. Whenever I felt down, I had people around me that had those same passions.” JustSimy, @simymonna

“My absolute favourite 505 Games title is Portal Knights! It’s a title that has everything I want in a game. Full of adventure, fighting bosses, levelling up characters and so much more. I have made so many online friends! Before Portal Knights came along, I played Terraria for the same reasons! Although it’s a slightly different game, it has so many possibilities with crafting and bosses and adventuring.

These sandbox games got me hooked – I have them on Nintendo Switch, mobile, PlayStation 4 and my PC.

“A 505 Games published title I always see myself coming back to is Horace. It’s amazing how much charm and emotions are put into that little robot and I absolutely fell in love with all the Easter eggs and many pop culture references. The narrative is the driving force here and it absolutely tugged at my heartstrings more than once.
